Cosmetic Services

You may not realize it, but your smile communicates a lot about how you feel about yourself. Even the smallest flaw can keep you from feeling your best. Cosmetic dentistry enhances the beauty and health of your smile. There are many procedures available today to improve the aesthetic quality of your smile.

Cosmetic Bonding
One of the most versatile and affordable ways to aesthetically restore tooth problems is cosmetic bonding. This procedure is usually recommended when a small portion of tooth structure needs to be corrected or replaced. Examples include repairing spaces between teeth and restoring chipped or broken teeth. What a difference it can make!

Porcelain Veneers
Veneers are thin, semitransparent "shells" that are permanently bonded to your existing tooth structure. They are usually made from porcelain. One tooth or multiple teeth can be restored. An impression is taken of the tooth or teeth and then sent to a laboratory where your customized veneer shell is created. Once your customized veneer is created, we will permanently attach it to your tooth. Veneers can last for years with regularly scheduled hygiene visits and proper home care. The results are often dramatic.

Tooth Colored Restorations
The ideal choice of material when filling a cavity is a composite resin that blends with the color of your natural teeth. This material not only looks good, it is functional and highly durable. The material bonds itself to the tooth making the tooth more fracture resistant than the metal fillings of old. Many people have silver mercury fillings called amalgams which can be unsightly and contain a high level of mercury. The new composite resins are virtually undetectable making them an excellent choice for people who are concerned about the unsightliness of amalgam.

Teeth Whitening
Whitening is a bleaching process that reverses discolorations of enamel (the outside layer of tooth structure) to create a whiter, brighter appearance. No natural tooth structure is lost during this process. Our office offers two convenient tooth whitening options.

Our standard whitening process involves custom fit trays that are created for you for use at home. You will receive enough gel for about two weeks of home applications. We recommend using the solution in your custom fit trays for 30 minutes at a time, up to two times per day. This is the most cost-effective method for whitening your teeth.

Our other whitening option is the Zoom Teeth Whitening System. Zoom is our fastest whitening system. It works by using a combination of light technology and a gentle whitening gel to safely whiten your teeth. The blue light activates the whitening gel to make it work better and faster than other methods. Results are accomplished in one office visit with three gel applications provided at 20-minute intervals. You walk out with a dazzling smile in just over an hour. We also provide our in-office whitening patients with custom fit trays to use at home if desired. These can also be used in the future to touch-up your smile at periodic intervals.
